About TECHCEM

A Decade of Cement Engineering, Built on Field Experience

Techcem Consulting and Engineering Pvt. Ltd. started in 2016 with a simple goal — bring genuine engineering depth to an industry often stuck with generic consultancy. Since then, our team has worked on more than 200 projects spanning cement, power, and mineral processing plants, with a workforce that brings together 11 different nationalities of technical expertise.

We take cement and industrial plants from concept to commissioning — covering process design, electrical and instrumentation engineering, and everything in between. The focus stays on three things: better efficiency, lower operating costs, and plants built to last well beyond the first few years of operation.

2
Real Execution Experience
We work directly with plant owners, EPC contractors, and operations teams, which means our recommendations are shaped by real execution experience — not just theoretical design.
3
Current Global Standards
Our team’s international project exposure means we stay current with global engineering standards and safety practices, and apply them to Indian plant conditions.
4
Full Accountability, Start to Finish
Clients stay with the same engineering team from first consultation through commissioning, so there’s full accountability for how a recommendation performs once the plant is actually running.

What We Do

How We Help — Our Core Services

Engineering support that spans the full life of a plant, from first feasibility study to running maintenance audits.

This is where most engagements start. We assess your plant — existing or planned — and build a roadmap covering everything from layout to long-term operational efficiency.
Early-stage engineering that turns your project goals into a workable technical concept — plant configuration, capacity planning, and preliminary layouts that set the foundation for detailed design.
Technical specifications, vendor evaluation, and equipment selection support — so you procure the right machinery at the right cost, with no surprises during installation.
Assessment of limestone and additive reserves — quality, consistency, and suitability — so material decisions are confirmed before you commit capital to a plant or expansion.
We design and fine-tune the core process flow of a cement plant, reducing bottlenecks and improving throughput without unnecessary capital spend.
Selection and design of kiln and preheater refractory linings that extend campaign life, protect equipment, and cut unplanned shutdowns.
A specialized part of our work — designing power distribution, motor control systems, PLC/SCADA integration, and instrumentation that keeps operations stable, safe, and easy to monitor round the clock.
Detailed mechanical design and equipment layout that optimizes material flow, maintenance access, and space utilization across the plant.
Structural design that’s built to handle the real operating loads and conditions of a working cement plant, not just theoretical specs.
We manage timelines, vendors, and budgets so plant owners aren’t juggling a dozen contractors on their own — keeping the project on schedule and on cost.
On-site inspection, supervision, and quality checks during fabrication, erection, and commissioning — so execution matches the design intent.
For running plants, we identify where efficiency is being lost — equipment, process, or maintenance gaps — and give a practical fix-it plan.

Questions Answered

Frequently Asked Questions

What plant owners usually want to know before starting an engagement.

An in-house team takes years to build the same depth of experience a consultancy already has. Working with experienced consultants gives you access to cross-project learnings and engineering that’s already been tested across multiple plants.

It covers power distribution, motor control systems, PLC/SCADA automation, and instrumentation that monitors temperature, pressure, and flow. Done right, it keeps the plant running smoothly with minimal manual intervention.

No, TECHCEM has delivered projects across 30 countries, while maintaining deep expertise in the Indian cement industry and its specific regulatory and operational realities.

Most projects begin with a feasibility study for new plants, or a technical audit for existing ones. This first step helps decide exactly where the engineering effort needs to go.

Yes, consultants use proven processes and lessons from past projects to catch design issues early, which significantly reduces rework and delays down the line.

Well-designed electrical and instrumentation systems provide real-time monitoring, so issues like overheating or pressure problems get detected early — before they turn into major breakdowns.

Yes, existing plants are supported through technical and maintenance audits that identify efficiency gaps and give a practical plan to fix them.

Yes, every engineering recommendation is evaluated against its cost and efficiency impact, which helps avoid unnecessary capital spend and keeps long-term operating costs down.

They automate and centrally monitor plant processes, giving operators real-time data and reducing the need for constant manual checks and intervention.

Ideally at the planning stage, when feasibility and design decisions are being made. That said, audits can still add real value for plants that are already up and running.
